Niclas-Alexander Mauß is Co-Founder of CIRCULAR REPUBLIC at UnternehmerTUM, Europe’s largest center for start-ups and innovation. For around ten years, the mechanical engineering graduate helped shape the transformation of the medium-sized measurement technology manufacturer Lorenz into a multiple award-winning pioneer of the circular economy, including the German Innovation Award for Climate and the Environment. He then initiated the CirculaTUM research network in 2020 as part of his doctorate at the Technical University of Munich and developed it into the largest of its kind in Germany today, while at the same time managing an incubator at UnternehmerTUM. With CIRCULAR REPUBLIC, he is working from the UnternehmerTUM ecosystem together with large companies, SMEs and start-ups on the overall industrial and social transformation towards a circular economy.
