Thorsten Kühnel is an expert when it comes to innovation and digitalization. Since July 1, 2022, he has been Managing Director of byte, the newly founded Bavarian Agency for Digital Affairs, a company of the Bavarian State Ministry for Digital Affairs. The agency supports Bavarian ministries, authorities and municipalities as a highly competent consulting unit and accompanies digitalization and cloudification projects.
Thorsten Kühnel was previously Chief Digital Officer at Rheinmetall Automotive. Prior to that, as VP Digital Transformation and Head of DTU, he drove the digitalization of E.ON.
